To have our own premises to serve as a one stop support, community engagement, and heritage site.
We can’t do this on our own, we are led and supported by a team of volunteers. It’s the passion and dedication of our volunteers that will enable us to grow our membership, fulfil our aspirations and thrive.
We have a membership model which provides one way to raise funds, learning into our benevolent nature to support the community and also means that money goes back into the community we serve, and members have a voice in what we do and how we do it.
Supporting the emotional, spiritual, financial, health and wellbeing needs. Providing support when needed most,educating and raising awareness on key issues which affect the community. Access support through Our Community Benevolent fund
Connect and educate the community socially through events and activities. Recognising, celebrating and remembering members of the community through the annual fundraising Celebrating our Community gala and other legacy and remembrance activities
Building our strength by connecting with local and national organisations to partner with us to help us raise awareness, provide information, and serve as a conduit to connect to the community across a wide range of needs.
Ensure the voice of our community is included and heard. The needs of the community are understood and raised when needed to local government and national bodies, promote social justice, and play our part in terms of the environment.
Connect with local and national organisations to access funds to support our aims and benevolent ambitions alongside our own fundraising activities to carry out the purpose and aims of the Long Eaton Settlers Legacy Association.
