LESLA Alliance organises and hosts community events that unite people, celebrate our shared heritage, and foster connections throughout Long Eaton. Our events are designed based on community needs and opportunities and are held throughout the year.
Our signature Windrush event is the Celebrating Our Community Gala, held every October.
The gala always includes a well-known celebrity, and it is truly a fantastic evening to learn, connect, and celebrate in style. Previous guests include boxing legend Frank Bruno MBE, historian, author, filmmaker, and Traitors celebrity David Olusoga OBE and in 2025 Baroness Floella Benjamin OM, DBE, DL. Read more.
