This is a service provided from 2-3 Long Eaton venues to include a variety of activities including coffee/tea mornings, working with partners to provide health and wellbeing, information and safe space for the community to meet with others.
This is a service aimed at supporting and encouraging members of the community to come out of their homes and experience activities such as walking, cinema, theatre, parks, gardens, afternoon tea e.g. to boost their mental health and wellbeing.
Our befriender service aims to provide companionship and conversation to people who may be lonely or isolated. Talking to an individual either by phone or face to face. NOTE: You will not be required to provide personal care (e.g. feeding, washing) or give direct medical advice to participants.
Many people do not have any family or friends to spend Christmas Day with for many reasons or simply can not afford it. This service is to support them at a time when loneliness and financial circumstances can be most felt and provide a Christmas day lunch and company so they are not on their own at this time whether they acknowledge Christmas Day or not.

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to join us to help us with our voluntary activity. Whether you have experience in gardening or are looking to use your sandwich making skills, we have opportunities for you. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available you can get involved with at a time and day that suits you.
Volunteering not only benefits our Association and the community, but also provides personal benefits such as building new skills, making new connections, and improving mental health.
We support our volunteers and ensure all volunteers have the relevant skills and certifications (where needed)
